Family Fun Day

The 16th annual Family Fun Day to benefit the Best Friends Mentoring Program will be held on Saturday, June 29th at Jaycee Park, from 12 - 5 p.m. 
After the Independence Day Parade, join us for a fun-filled day! This year's event will have eleven inflatables, a photo booth, and barrel train rides. Deejay Chris Hammond will be returning to entertain families with music and games. 
Local heroes will display their fire, police, rescue, and National Guard vehicles, while children will be able to meet a drug sniffing dog. 
Tickets: Unlimited inflatable rides $12 wristband; one time rides and photo booth $2. Wristbands may be purchased in advance for $10 at the Best Friends Office located at 135 West Villard, Dickinson, ND. Tickets will be on sale starting June 17th. 

In 2012, Family Fun Day raised about $22,000, enough to provide mentoring services for 28 at-risk youth in our community!

Santa Pictures at Prairie Hills Mall

The purpose of Santa pictures is to raise money for the Best Friends Mentoring Program. Santa pictures begin the weekend before Thanksgiving and run every weekend after that until the 23rd of December.
During the 2012 holiday season, more than 40 individuals volunteered for Santa picture shifts, totaling over 200 hours of time volunteered. A total of 1465 pictures were taken during 2012 season.

January is National Mentoring Month

Join Best Friends in celebrating National Mentoring Month:
Sunday, January 6th, 1:30pm: BFMP will be attending the Dickinson Public Library’s showing of  Brave, rated G, be sure to join us for a free movie and popcorn!

January 21-27th: BFMP will have change jars at Country Kitchen; after your meal, drop off your spare change to support your local mentoring organization. On the 26th and 27th, purchase a “Country’s Best Skillet” and Country Kitchen will donate 25% of your bill to Best Friends.

Wednesday, January 23rd, 6:00: BFMP will be attending the Dickinson Public Library’s showing of The Dark Knight Rises, rated PG-13, be sure to join us for a free movie and popcorn!

Thursday, January 31st, 5-7:00pm: Taco John’s Night. BFMP is hosting a Taco John’s night. Visit the restaurant between 5 and 7pm, mention you are with Best Friends, and Taco John’s will donate 50% of your purchase to Best Friends!

Easter Bunny Pictures at Prairie Hills Mall 

Visit the Easter Bunny at Prairie Hills Mall and receive two souvenir photos for just $10. Easter Bunny pictures will be held on March 23rd and 30th, 2013; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. 
Photos are ready in just an hour! A portion of each photo’s cost will be donated to the Best Friends Mentoring Program.
BFMP will also be holding a Spring Bake Sale during Easter Bunny Photos. Stop by the Prairie Hills Mall and get your photo taken with the Easter Bunny, as well as some delicious homemade baked goods!

March Mentoring Madness

Celebrate March Mentoring Madness with the Best Friends Mentoring Program!

All month long, stop by Mama Rosina’s (located in the T-Rex plaza). Enjoy some delicious Italian food and drop off your spare change to help support the Best Friends Mentoring Program. 

Best Friends will be hosting Easter Bunny Photos and a Spring Bake Sale on March 23rd and 30th. Stop by the Prairie Hills Mall between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and get a photo taken with the Easter Bunny. Be sure to get some delicious homemade goodies while you’re there! Photos cost just $10 for two 4x6 photos; baked goods will be priced individually. 
We are still looking for volunteers to help with photos and the bake sale. If you are interested in volunteering with Best Friends, please call Hilary at 701-483-8615.

On Monday March 25, Take ‘N’ Bake with Best Friends at Papa Murphy’s. Order a pizza between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., and Papa Murphy’s will donate $2 for every pizza you order!

A Chocolate Affair

The 4th annual A Chocolate Affair to benefit the Best Friends Mentoring Program will be held on Saturday, May 11th, brought to you by our Presenting Sponsors, the Armstrong Corporation and Reichert Armstrong. A Chocolate Affair will be held at the Ramada Grand Dakota Lodge, starting at 7pm. 
Enjoy chocolate treats from eight local chefs, while tasting over twenty varieties of wine. Join us for our Mystery Wine Pull that will include over 70 different wines, gift basket drawings, and People's Choice Awards. 
Purchase your ticket on our website, at our office, or at Town and Country Liquor. With the purchase of a ticket, you will also be entered into a drawing to win a chocolate diamond necklace (a value of $1000) or one of five gift baskets.

Glow Ball Golf Scramble

Join us for our seventh annual The Best Glow Ball Golf Scramble, to be held Saturday, June 1, with registration beginning at 5 p.m. 
18 teams will tee off on the lower nine holes, then enjoy a delicious dinner served in the club house. Prizes and awards will be given away until dusk. When dusk arrives, the teams will then play the last nine holes in the dark on a specially-lit course, with glow-in-the-dark golf balls.
Be sure not to miss this night filled with golfing, glow-sticks, and fun!

In 2012, thanks to teams of golfers who came together to enjoy a unique nighttime golfing experience, 11 at-risk youth received mentors.
